It’s the final stretch of the school holidays and there’s still time to squeeze in one more memory. Before uniforms, lunchboxes and routines return, we’re inviting mums and kids to take a moment together in the water — relaxed, playful and completely themselves.
This body-positive pool session is a chance to finish the holidays on a high note, soaking up the last of the summer freedom and reminding ourselves (and our children) that every body belongs at the pool just as it is.
For this 1.5 hour free session, the pool is ours for relaxed free swim time. There are no lanes, no instructors and no expectations about how you move. You might float with a noodle, glide through the shallow end, chat with a friend, sit on the steps or simply enjoy being in the water with your children. Chilled music will be playing to help everyone unwind into the moment.
After the swim, we invite you to gather poolside for a gentle wind-down. There will be a simple creative table where you can write a note to your body, decorate a postcard to take home, and add a sentence to a shared reflection wall.
The prompt is short but meaningful: “Today I showed up even though…”
Children and teens are welcome to draw and create alongside you.
This session is open to all mums, whether you have babies or a teenager in tow. Our promise is simple. No judgement. No comparison. No talk about calories, weight or “getting summer ready.” Just a warm welcome, supported by the Olinda Pool team, and a chance to enjoy the water with your family before the school routine starts again.
Bring your swimmers, towels, kids and whatever energy you have left at this stage of the holidays. Nervousness is normal and absolutely welcome.
Bookings are essential so we can keep the atmosphere calm and spacious.
Every body belongs in the water. This is your chance to show that to your kids – and remind yourself too.
