Wonder Garden Dance Theatre
Wonder Garden Dance Theatre is a holistic preschool ballet program planting the seeds of wonderment, mindfulness, love of movement and Joie de Vivre into the hearts of families!
Our beautiful classes are all themed around the Australian natural world and designed to ignite a lifelong love of learning and movement practise, and care for our local native environment.
We learn ballet steps, correct terminology and safe dance practise all through theatrical storytelling and play. We might dance as sugar plum fairies and swans, but more often we'll be cheeky cockatoos, shy sugar gliders, bouncing corroboree frogs, rock wallabies, stick insects or sly sharks.
We teach Family Yoga classes with the same loving principles and have Pilates for the grown ups, too!
Wonder Garden Dance began in 2017 with locations in West Footscray and Preston/Thornbury and built a beautiful community of over 130 devoted families before we closed our doors during the 2020 Covid lockdowns. Amanda has now moved with her family to Gembrook and decided it's time to share the magic of these classes with families once more. The world needs more children who love life off-screen, who adore moving their bodies and know that a big part of the joy of life is in noticing the little things, being part of a community and connecting to the natural world we're surrounded by.
