Welcome to Foundations for Childhood, where compassionate and dedicated Child Play Therapy and Counselling Services lay the groundwork for the emotional well-being and development of children and families. Our expert therapist, equipped with a solid educational background—an undergraduate degree in psychology, a master's in family studies and child play therapy, and ongoing training towards a master's in autism studies (as a developmental educator)—is committed to providing top-notch care.

Our range of services includes individual play therapy, a unique Learn to Play program focused on play and social skills development, and family-attachment therapy. We believe in the power of tailored interventions that cater to the specific needs of each child and family, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth.

At Foundations for Childhood, we go beyond traditional therapy to offer a diverse set of programs designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our Girl Power and Boy Crew social groups encourage positive social interactions, building confidence and resilience. Lego Group Therapy combines creativity and play to address various emotional challenges. The Peaceful Kids Group Counselling Program addresses anxiety, stress, and worry, promoting emotional well-being in a supportive group setting. Our Music, Movement, and Mess programs cater to the youngest members of our community—babies, toddlers, and preschoolers—providing a sensory-rich experience to enhance their developmental journey. The Preschool Play Therapy Group focuses on early intervention and skill-building, while our Ready, Set Prep program prepares children for their educational journey.

We understand the importance of a holistic approach to healing, which is why we offer Parenting Support to empower parents in navigating the challenges of raising resilient and emotionally healthy children. Foundations for Childhood's services are available to both private clients and participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our registration with the Australian Play Therapists Association (APPTA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). At Foundations for Childhood, we believe in creating a space where every child and family feels heard, understood, and supported.

Join us on the journey of growth, healing, and empowerment at Foundations for Childhood's Child Play Therapy and Counselling Services.
