We’re looking for volunteer families to help breath new life into the Education Centre community veggie patch at Birdsland

The veggie patch project is a great collaboration with Mountain Men. We’ve got funding to make this space great again, providing herbs, fruit and veggies to local families.
This initial working bee has all the makings of a great day. We’ll be planting out the veggie patches will warming up the pizza oven. Then we’ll get the pizza’s cranking and invite the MotHs Band the MOTHer ROCKers to play. Live music, a warm lunch and time in the sun creating a great space.
Going forward, we’ll want to ensure this veggie garden is maintained and the produce is distributed and used. We’ll be looking for passionate green thumbs and a ‘Head Gardener’ to push this project forward (preferably with a long lunch using the pizza oven).
