Yuck…- Unpacking mealtimes is an educational parent workshop for parents of children with developmental delays or disabilities (including: Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Fragile X, and others), or any parent who would like to make mealtimes and food exploration more easeful for their family.

During the event we'll cover:
Where to start Strengths-based practice
Common problems: Building connection and ease into mealtimes - for everyone
Mealtime Goals & Questions: Things to consider: The child, the task, the environment.
Practical Strategies & ideas: Problem-solving common problems together Common challenges include:
Knowing where to start: Fussy eating and food refusals
Mealtime stress and challenging behaviour - crying, screaming spitting, throwing food, running away. Difficulty eating, chewing, swallowing and using cutlery
Eating too little or too much: Underlying skills - cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, communication, & sensory
and any other challenges you're experiencing and would like to ask about. :)
