Anxiety and grief can feel overwhelming for children and teens, impacting how they think, feel and engage with the world around them. It may show up as constant worry, physical symptoms, avoidance of everyday activities, sleep difficulties or strong emotional reactions that feel confusing and distressing. Over time, it can quietly erode confidence and make school, friendships and family life much harder than they need to be.

Lynne Kennedy is a qualified Clinical Family Therapist with additional training in early childhood teaching, play therapy and childhood trauma. With more than 20 years’ experience working closely with parents, children and young people, she offers counselling alongside play-based and creative therapeutic approaches that meet children where they are.

Lynne specialises in supporting children and young people aged 5–15 who are experiencing the effects of anxiety or grief. Her work focuses on helping children make sense of their experiences, develop practical coping skills and rebuild a sense of safety, confidence and control.

Parent Support Sessions are also available, providing space for parents to explore how best to support their child while caring for their own wellbeing and strengthening family relationships.
