Opening its doors in 1997, Lilydale Skate Centre has long been a much-loved part of the local community — a place where generations of families have celebrated birthdays, learned to skate, and created lasting memories. As the proud home of the Lilydale Rats Inline Hockey Club, it continues to support and grow the local skating scene.

Since coming under new ownership in 2018, the centre has embraced a fresh chapter with a strong focus on community, inclusivity, and making skating accessible to everyone. Today, it blends that nostalgic rink magic with new energy, offering a space where people of all ages can come together to move, learn, and have fun.

Over time, the community, skaters, families, and staff have shaped this space into something pretty special. It’s not about being perfect… you don’t have to feel silly if you’re new to skating or jumping back in with your kids. Chances are, one of the regulars or team will be right there, cheering you on and helping you find your feet. This is a community that backs you to have a go.

We love watching those first wobbly laps turn into confident laps around the rink. It’s all about fun without the pressure… just music, movement, new friendships and plenty of “watch me!” moments.
