Hi, I'm Tushna Patell, an Endorsed Private Midwife, Maternal & Child Health Nurse and Hypnobirthing Australia™ Practitioner based in Lilydale. I founded Birth, Baby & Family to provide families with the kind of unrushed, evidence-based and nurturing support that many parents wish they had after bringing their baby home. I offer:
1) Private Postpartum Midwifery Care (0–8 weeks postpartum) in-home visits and Telehealth support providing comprehensive care for both mother and baby, including maternal and newborn assessments, breastfeeding and infant feeding support, newborn weight monitoring, birth debriefing, emotional wellbeing support, sleep and settling guidance, and transition to parenthood. (Eligible consultations are bulk billed through Medicare).
2) Private Maternal & Child Health Services: Personalised in-home or clinic consultations from 8 weeks through to 4 years, offering developmental assessments, feeding support, sleep and settling guidance, parenting support and ongoing child health advice with 60-90 min appointments so that you don't leave feeling rushed and all your needs are met.
3) Hypnobirthing Australia™ Positive Birth Program: Evidence-based childbirth education designed to help parents approach birth with knowledge, confidence and practical skills through small group classes or private one-on-one sessions.
My approach is gentle, holistic and family-centred. I value building genuine relationships with families and work collaboratively with GPs, lactation consultants, psychologists and other health professionals to ensure coordinated care. Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating the newborn weeks or looking for needing ongoing support as your baby grows, I'd love to walk alongside your family during this special chapter.
