Chestnut Festival

Come and join us for a day of family fun on the mountain.

Time: 10 am until 4 pm
Where: Kalorama Memorial Reserve, Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, Kalorama

Savour the abundant chestnuts, gourmet food, chai tea, coffee and mulled wine, and explore the diverse range of stalls showcasing local artisan makers, creators, growers and purveyors.

The Kalorama Chestnut Festival is a community event that raises funds for the Mt Dandenong Preschool and Mt Dandenong Primary School. The festival is run by a group of volunteer parents, carers and educators.


A hills institution for more than 30 years, the Kalorama Chestnut Festival takes place on the first Sunday of May each year at Kalorama Reserve.

Car parking is available around the oval and is managed by the Ferny Creek Club Scouts. The cost is $5 per car, with proceeds going to the Ferny Creek Club Scouts. If parking around the local area, please respect our neighbours and avoid parking across driveways.
